Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to class?

Bring a mat, towel, and water. Rental mats are available. Wear comfortable, breathable, clothing. There are changing rooms to hold your shoes, socks and other belongings not needed for class.

Is Power Yoga a good workout?

Yes! An average 60-minute, heated class burns 400-500 calories. You will also, tone, strengthen, and improve flexibility.

How often should I do yoga?

Yoga was created as a daily practice. The more effort you put in, the more benefits you will reap. But as a general rule of thumb, join us 3 times a week to change your body, 5 times a week to change your life.

Can I start yoga when I'm pregnant?

Many women practice yoga throughout their pregnancy. If you are new to yoga, please consider a pre-natal yoga class and always ask your physician's advice.

What if I'm not flexible?

Welcome! Most people who start yoga are not flexible. The good news is you don't need to be physically flexible or strong. You only need to be mentally flexible and open. Just show up, let go, breathe, and respect your limitations. You will be amazed that as soon as you "let go", you "let good" in. The yoga journey is a marathon, not a sprint. Just keep showing up and doing the work. The results will follow.

Our request - Please arrive early enough to set yourself up on your mat for practice to begin at the start time designated.  If you are running late, we got you!  Please slip in as quiet as possible after the class has moved from Childs Pose to the more active part of the class.  If you have to leave early please let the instructor know and they will let you know when to slip out so as not to disturb our other students.  Occasional lateness is understood and we make space for you.   Our hope is to provide a safe and respectful space for everyone and we are committed to good work, fun, and a space for each and every.
